Rev. Dr. Nancy Jo Dederer

 Pastor

The Rev. Dr. Nancy Jo Dederer is a lifelong Presbyterian who grew up in Sylvania, Ohio. She first served Circleville Presbyterian Church as the Director of Christian Education before sensing a call to pastoral ministry. She went on to earn her Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, where she was recognized with multiple awards for preaching, practical theology, and service. Ordained in Circleville in 1991, Nancy has served congregations in Virginia, Illinois, and North Carolina. In 2007, she earned a Doctor of Ministry in Parish Revitalization from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.

With additional training in transitional ministry, Nancy has helped guide congregations through times of change and renewal. In July 2022, in what she describes as a bold move of the Holy Spirit, she was called back to Circleville Presbyterian Church as pastor. She is passionate about preaching, community engagement, and helping people deepen their faith.

Nancy’s husband, Chris, is the Organist and Director of Music at First Presbyterian Church of Grove City, OH. They have an adult son, Andrew, who works as a Rock Climbing Route Setter in Austin, Texas. In her free time, Nancy enjoys traveling, playing Scrabble, and singing—a love that began in first grade and has been an expression of her faith ever since.
