type=\"disc\"><li><b>To know God<\/b>\u00a0and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ.<\/li><li><b>To develop a creative supportive fellowship<\/b>.<\/li><li><b>To expand concepts of mission<\/b>\u00a0through participation in the global ministries of the church.<\/li><\/ul><p>The United Methodist Women of Clarksbury UMC are active in mission and in raising funds for mission. \u00a0The Edna Yankovich Circle meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm.\u00a0 Be sure to check the calendar for meeting place.<\/p><p>What do United Methodist Women do?\u00a0 In one word:\u00a0<i><b>mission<\/b><\/i>.\u00a0 How does the UMW at Clarksbury do mission?\u00a0 Through many events and fundraisers.\u00a0 Here at Clarksbury, they make chocolate-covered easter eggs to raise money for local missions.\u00a0 All the proceeds from this major fundraiser go to support:<\/p><p>Hands Across Middlesex<br \/>Northern Neck Free Clinic<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.northernneckbirthcenter.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Northern Neck Maternity Clinic<\/a><br \/>Healing Eagle Clinic<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.laurelshelterinc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laurel Shelter<\/a><br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.habitat.org\/default.aspx?tgs=Ni8yMC8yMDExIDI6MDU6NDggUE0%3d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Habitat for Humanity<\/a><br \/>Christmas Friends<br \/>Family Services<br \/>YMCA Guardian Program<br \/>RDYC scholarship<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hearthavens.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Heart Havens<\/a><\/p><p>&#8230;along\u00a0with\u00a0our fall and winter food\u00a0pantry.<\/p><p>\u00a0The ladies also participate in our annual\u00a0Lenten lunch program; they get together to do\u00a0Thanksgiving projects for our homebound members and they participate in wrapping Christmas gifts for the Christmas Friends program in Middlesex County.<\/p><p>There is plenty to do and enough to go around for everyone.\u00a0 No requirements to join, only a desire to honor God through the Greatest Commandment to
